I told @courtneydauwalter and @thedaucrew this when I met them at @tejastrails #Bandera trail race on Saturday but it bears repeating and social documenting. What an inspiring performance. It felt like a Michael Jackson concert, or watching Michael Jordan play basketball, truly a genius in her sport.

Watching Courtney Dauwalter smoke a very tough Bandera day and destroying the competition by 1.5h+ was truly a privilege of a lifetime. To watch the premier female trail runner of my/ our generation take on a brutal day at Bandera and masterfully finish 100k, or 62ish miles was amazing. But even more, she stopped for a smile and an encouragement for this little girl at the finish. What an inspiration.

Take time and appreciate the fans and encourage the next generation of trail runners. What a great example for us all. Super cool and inspiring moment for me.
