(she wasn’t much for naming these,) but something special about this piece today.
Edy Grammy Avance found her way down the heavenly road this week in her 89th year, and has gone to meet those before and her special husband in Grandy. 65 years married, they are the image of inspiration and ingenuity to build and manage a family that grew and grew. She was a storyteller teller among storytellers. Spent many hours in the mountains playing train or card games for hours. Taught many how to be brave enough to paint. Lessons on storytelling on lessons. Stories about democrat the cat, and the one eyed donkey, and grabbing a potato off a neighbors porch to make French fries, and many more.

In art, Grandy was our greatest critic, while Grammy encouraged you “Don’t lose your dark.” we spent many hours practicing art together, laughing and enjoying each other. Super special times.

I miss her “Oday Oyay eakspay igpay atinlay.”

She’s where she wanted to be facing down a wonderful savior with stories to be told and Bob Ross to criticize in person.

Until the day we paint together again, I’ll be missing you. We love you more than you know.
